All the media does is stir shit up. The media covering college football truly believes that their opinions and analysis of a team or the game has become more important or relevant than the game itself, and nobody respects it. That's why I love when Saban (or any other coach) rips into their ass for it. They're a bunch of talking heads who don't know as much as they think and are never held accountable for their predictions or the shit storms they create. I heard on the way in this morning that Toby Weathersby sent a message to all the critics that he would be willing to discuss LSU football with them at a local UFC gym in Baton Rouge. 1st of all - Toby, you guys are not playing very well! Ok. We want to be better, we're cheering for you (even praying I've heard) but you're not very good. Do you want to hear it from us? No. But you want to protect your coach and shoulder the blame, then accept the criticism. Don't challenge fans to a fight. 2nd of all - Greg McElroy (one of the biggest trolls in college football news now) was the one who mentioned it and his response was something along the lines of "why don't you challenge Troy" and then took a shot at LSU for losing back to back homecoming games. (Is that true?) McElroy is just mad he is going bald at 30 and everybody can tell he has the same barber as Donald Trump. He keeps that lifeless hair on top of his head and we can all see it Greg, let it go! Like you NFL career. The fans have a voice that is much louder now due to social media and with that comes the keyboard warriors. Regardless, the fans are allowed to be upset with the shit show we're watching every Saturday and any response along the lines "well don't watch then" is ridiculous. As for coaches not wanting to come here due to an unrealistic fan base......really??? Please stop with that stupidity. This is college football.
here is Weathersby Tweet that was deleted. Found it on Texags a couple of days ago. First message in thread https://texags.com/forums/5/topics/2890510
Everything in that article is true. But we are stuck with this crappy hire for this season and next. And after they tank next year, Alleva will be fired and maybe O will, maybe not. But we are about to be cellar dwellars again in the SEC. the 90's are nigh.
Well, its their issue to fix, not the fans, ya dig? LOL At least we're seeing some fire, just wish we would see it ON the field.
