Everybody with an IQ north of 15 and a sense of fairness agrees. Harris and the BCS rankings both prove what we've long known---there's zero reason to have rankings to start the season, from a "determining the mythical national champion"-standpoint. Rankings exist from week 1 forward for reasons 1 (television) and 1A( fan interest/hype). Pure and simple.
Well, when you're a fan of Mississippi State, you never know when is your next W. So all you got is hope for the next one. Anything will be a step up from a 35-3 half against us last year.
I don't know, but I can tell you that in the AP it was before 1966 and that includes a couple of years with only a top 10 and about a score of only a top 20.
True, but I sometimes wish I could have my cake and eat it too. That is, I wish we would appreciate each win as much as we might've in 2000, although I of course realize that's ridiculous. I just don't like it when one loss makes people think the season is done, like I do. I threw a temper tantrum after the loss to Auburn last year. I was like, "That's it. End of season. We may as well just forfeit the rest! WAAAH!" I am a terrible, horrible loser during the season.
Talk about temper. I threw a punch to the wall after Buster was stopped 4 yards short. Broke my watch...:hihi: And after that loss to Florida, I felt sick all week.
I'm thinking (hoping ) fRan falls on his face this year. What was the play that raised so much hell with the OU fan base...was it on onside kick..or a pass play?
