It seems you havent watched the game. Boise State killed Oklahoma all throughout the game. Most of Oklahoma's points were scored in the 4th quarter. And when they did, Boise came back.
I agree. While I like to see LSU coming into the season very well respected, I generally don't pay much attention to polls until 4-6 weeks into the season. By that time I have a better sense of how teams are doing. The one that comes out at the end of the first week of January is the one that counts.
So I guess you think we killed Tennessee in 05'. All 4 quarters count last time I checked. I agree, polls before October are dumb. Unfortunately this one does have implications on the season, so I'll take #2 any day.
I'll Take a # 2 Ranking all day! 2 thoughts...... 1) Will we be stuck at # 2 until we play in the NC game? If so, these boards may not be as exciting.... 2) Aside from the #1 ranking......nowhere to go but Down......unless USC looses. VERY GLAD we are getting the respect we Deserve!!!!! :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige :geauxtige
I like the way you think. But I'm not sure USC will have too much trouble with Idaho either, so we will probably not move up to #1.
This is very true. There has been much talk of USCs ease of schedule but Texas has almost as easy a road to the MNC as USC does. The problem at Texas is the lines. They lost three starters on the oline and both defensive ends. On top of that Texas always seems to underachieve with their talent. They will lose at least one and probably two or more this year.
