The coaches are OBLIGATED to vote the team that wins the Sugar Bowl as their #1. In fact, from what I've been told, the final poll ballot will have the #1 already on it...the coaches (or ADs or coaches' secretaries) will only fill out #2 and lower. It's a 100% impossibility for the winner of the Sugar Bowl to not get the #1 in the Coaches' Poll.
Coaches C-A-N-N-O-T vote the rest of the way. They are done. It's written in stone---the winner of the BCS title game is number 1 in the coaches poll. Period.
Coaches don't even get a choice on voting for #1. The winner is automatically #1 in the coaches poll. They do get to vote on #2 through #25.
your exactly right.... Brad Edwards addressed this the other day....he said that some coaches are talking about not voting for the Sugar Bowl champ #1....he then said, the coaches don't have to vote the Sugar Bowl champ as #1...IT WILL BE DONE FOR THEM!!!!!
And, who the phukk has Michigan played ... a crippled up offense "less" OSU USC by 17 ... if you bet and lose your arse ... don't say I didn't warn you. LSU wins, we're #1 in the AP ... Split Championship = Moot Point
Correction ramah: We'd be #1 in the Coaches' Poll...USC would be in the AP...IF they beat Michigan... Go Big Blue! GEAUX TIGERS!!!
Correct yourself ... LSU wins over OK ... and despite Carroll's bleating and whining ... LSU will overcome the 15 points ... and be AP #1
We'd have to be extremely convincing in that win and hope USC wins by a narrow margin...the whining in the media is growing into a whirlwind and they won't be voting for anyone besides USC for #1 unless USC loses. The funny thing about all this is that if USC and LSU were playing and Stoops was complaining, Carroll would be saying, "we have a system and it works."
