Seems to like being a position coach and he has never been a DC. Would give him another opportunity with college kids. Also seems that he wants to stay in LA for the time being.

I don't think he will come in and take the Recruiting Coordinator job away from Henson but he would still be a big part of the recruiting efforts.

Also hearing Les and O were behind closed doors for a little under an hour today.

Not a lock to LSU but he is listening to what we have to offer.

I don't see him leaving the NFL to be a DL coach at LSU but that should be the only job he is offered if any.

EDIT: Meant to say should instead of would and changed it after I was quoted..

Well what if the Saints are looking for someone else? Coach O might not leave under his own will, but maybe the fact that Bobby Hebert was "campaigning" for him says something. I don't know that Hebert was in fact "campaigning" for him, but I seem to remember hearing a lot about that a month or so ago. I don't really follow the Saints too much, but I don't think that their DL is doing horribly. Their secondary needs some help, but it's not like the talent isn't there. I don't know.

Saints DL has actually looked pretty good under O. If his personality doesn't run him off I don't think his job performance this year will.

That's what I suspected. Seems to me that an NFL team would be able to pay more than LSU would be willing to pay for a position coach. Unless he likes college that much, I don't see why he'd even consider leaving the NFL. I'm sure he knows that LA (well Louisiana and Los Angeles) is a hotbed for athletes and figures it'd be easy for him to recruit to LSU. Coaching that talent could bode well for him and maybe it could catapult him to a DC job somewhere? That along with his ties to USC and the fact that he was a head coach in the SEC makes it seem like he could get a comfortable gig somewhere. Or maybe he has his eyes set on the LSU DC job for the future?

IMO if he come to LSU he will be DL/Assist Head coach.

Saints '06 and '07, i.e. they have improved this year under big O.
