Currently in the middle of doing said stupidity. It's called growing up, which is why this is somewhat silly.

It's not like he committed a serious crime. I'm the first person to fault someone for doing wrong, and the blame for this whole incident rests soley on RP's shoulders, but in no way does this constitute grounds for removal from the team. It's not like he stole someone's purse or broke into someone's apartment. He tried to use his blood relative's ID to get into a casino. It's not like he was using a fake.

A few months off the depth chart spending time in the gym will only make him more focused- if he uses this time properly.

Here is an article about how Miles takes each incident seperatly and he is not making examples out of anyone or trying to impress people.

That new sheriff at LSU insists he is not just shining his badge with his recent expulsions and suspensions.

"I'm not doing it to make an example of anyone or to impress people," LSU football coach Les Miles said at the Southeastern Conference spring meetings Tuesday. "Each isolated incident is dealt with separately. But people know what I will tolerate and some things that I will not."

Former LSU defensive end Chase Pittman, who is now a rookie with the Cleveland Browns, and wide receiver Early Doucet were arrested for their roles in bar fights under Miles, but neither was dealt with as drastically as the above players.

"They told me the truth," Miles said. "And I found out exactly what happened. They may have done something wrong, but they showed character. That's the most important thing with me. To me, I deal with a player showing a lack of character much quicker and more strongly than a lot of other things."

i like that attitude. the first part, of gathering all of the facts he can when dealing with a kid, and personally talking with all the sources.

the second part is that he gives the players a chance to take responsibility for their actions. owning up to a mistake takes more maturity than lying or blaming others.

Nice quotes Okie, and I completely agree with Miles about how his player should show character during the process.

As for Pittman, did he go to jail? Because he probably should have.
