wow. can't get a call for a strike, but FB ump calls the strike to keep the tying run from walking in.

that was awesome! here are more comments from Florida fans, beginning at the point they entered the 9th inning down only 1:

It's either going to be an amazing rush or the biggest heartbreak of the last four years (save the UT series).

One last chance...I'm bout to cry.

Last 3 outs with our 3 big guys up.

3 outs from a trip to Gainesville........... or a date with an SEC rival. What will it be Gators?

    Very disappointed

I think there is a BBQ place just down the street. They should be able to hit it up before getting on the plane at Eppley Field.

    Unbelievable

O and 2 and bbq and deservedly so!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

we are by far the most unclutch team in the country!

We absolutely deserve that. Biggest choke job I've ever seen. #1 seed goes 0-2 and loses to a MAC. Hoep these guys are proud of their accomplishemt.

2 and q, these guys got exactly what they deserved. They played all year expecting teams to lay over because their the most talented team.

    Tons of talent, zero clutch!

We got what we deserved. Totally outplayed in both games.

    Nice coaching job sully!

That's okay, we'll get 'em next game!

the walk of shame, way to go gators, way to go

Just and embarrassing way to end the season.

    Embarrassing!

most underachieving Gator BB team ever.

Unreal...we are professional choke artists. From our pitcher not being physically ready for the game to our hitters hitting terribly these two games we deserve to go home. I'm sick

Nice job Coach O'Zooker. Great recruiter..in game coach...eh..not so much

I think we're the worst team in the NCAA at small ball. How many times do we have bases loaded, less than 2 outs, and come away with nothing?

What a waste of a season, this team did not progress throughout the year. Hate to say it but 0 - 2 is fitting.

Will foley have sully on a short leash after this choke?

    Season officially a colossal disappointment

the #1 team in the country before AND after the regular season has absolutely nothing to show for 2012. No championships, no trophies, no banners, no rings, and 0-2-BBQ in Omaha. Colossal disappointment is the only term for UF baseball in 2012.

    Agree!

    Complete embarrassment!!

Are you SURE you didn't copy all of this from an LSU board? ;)

checked by their board again, here are some more comments they added:

Fitting end for an underachieving team.

I missed the post game, did Jessica Mendoza appear and say we were "Two and bar-b-q". How embarrasing!

there will be lots of player bashing for awhile

Good news and bad news. Bad news is we're done. Good news is we don't have to play South Carolina again this year.

At least the misery is over. They underachieved all season. That is two 0-2 performances in 3 years for sully. Not good.

this team collapsed under the pressure and Sully has to bear the brunt of the blame. We can't play situationally and for the second yr in a row in the CWS we have the bases loaded in the 9th and can't score. Where's the heart? Guts? Sully had an experienced team that played on the biggest of stages last year and their 2 and Q.

Wait a minute, We've been to 8 cws and sully has taken us to 3 of those in 5 years and now he sucks? Sully's gone to what is the equivalent of 3 straight elite 8's and a National chamionship game. I would not trade Sully for anyone.

You wouldn't trade sully for ray tanner? Really?

I would trade every coach in every sport save Billy for Ray Tanner. Those guys show up to play

Sully will never get us a championship. Is there really any point in keeping him around?

Sully keeps putting a team of paper champions on the field. His teams are talented, but not very tough. One of our starting pitchers almost had a heat stroke after one inning. Really? Today was also a perfect display of his lack of in-game coaching. Sully doesn't seem like a guy that can get teams to finish the job. He's the Mark Richt of college baseball.

Definitely starting to feel like it

He'll be gone after a middle of the pack SEC finish next year.

It's also bad when the commentators are poking fun at how sad our players look in the dugout. If our players aren't excited when we load the bases down 3 in Omaha, then that should tell you something about the culture of our program. Compare that to South Carolina. This, the culture of our team, not the 0-2 result, is 100% on Sully. It was sickening.

totally agree also compare to LSU when they were playing Stony Brook in the SR's they were pumped and into the game. You could barely tell this was a win-or-your-season-(career for some)-is-over game.

Yep. Something was missing from this team --- heart!

    More like brains

We just need some mental toughness

I do think we need to take a different approach, maybe bring in a Sports phycologist...

we had fantastic players, they just couldn't pull it together Something was seriously missing

True. Great individual players. TEAM and heart missing.

This team looked like they were just trying to run out the clock. Awful.

we run scared at the first signs of adversity

Something clearly was missing. You have to place the blame on Sully. He's the pitching coach and our pitching has been a big disappointment on the biggest stage. We can't play situational baseball and our team plays tight with a stunning lack of passion and intensity.

Pretty sad the lack of perspective so many "fans" have.

LSU's run production relative to the league dropped significantly in SEC play, RBIs dropped to 5th. It does make a difference. I'm too tired to copy it here, but someone at TOS already crunched the numbers from the same source.

RKansas just ended USCe's 22 game post season winning streak. Really good game - pitcher's duel. Ended 2-1 Arky.
