    some more...

We just have to tip our hat and call them our daddy's.

at some point I would like to beat them

    This is just embarrasing

Well, there you go another season where we were good, but not good enough, we have zero chance coming out of the losers bracket, maybe next year sully

I need to drink myself into oblivion. This is sad.

We could easily lose to kent st. This is beyond embarrassing

    we've given up

With this coach we will NEVER win the big one ever!!!!!

A hate losing to a team that we have no business losing too

    this is depressing.

    Embarrassing.

    Just awesome, guys. Thanks Rodriguez

They own us. It's simple, if you think otherwise... I want what you're drinking

this teams is not smart and I dont know if its coaching or the players...or both.

    It's both

This loss is on our pitching coach.

They own us and it is sad

Roth/Price just own our guys. We have no clue.

Can't be on the players. People on here are saying it's just tough luck because our hitters do no wrong. Man up and get a single like the other two batters did. The top of the order had done nothing all night

its just sad that our top players who have been here for 3 and 4 years can't deliver in the clutch.

thats the difference between sc and us, they know how to manufacture runs

this team is more barawn than brains...is there even a hitting coach in the team?

All the experienced guys have come up VERY SMALL

I was hoping we turned the corner now that post season play is here. They fooled me, we are the same team we have been all year, tremendous talent, that is so un clutch

Our kids also have pretty much no clutch in them

that was boneheaded hitting..sometime you wonder what these guys are thinking...

    pathetitc....this team deserves to lose...

    Their clutch, were not.

3 years..still don't know what to do against Roth

    This team is imploding.....

don't think sully has what it takes to win the whole thing

    Sully is killing us.

    tanner owns sully

Way to go sully, lost us another

My lord sully Do you want to win?

Everytime they show sully, he looks lost

    we embarrassed ourselves tonight

one coach motivates his team and another just lets them play lifelessly....great...

Anything less than a NC with a team that has 9 draftpicks is an epic fail for this season. We just got owned by a team that had to replace 6 starters from last years team.

Look at it this way...Gator sports is likely done by Wednesday and we can spend time with our family. No more scheduling our days around college kids until September.

What frustrates me the most is that a team that was touted as possibly one of the greatest of all time may end up accomplishing none of the goals they set out for.
National Championship - not looking good
    SEC title - nope
    SEC tournament title - nope
    SEC East title - nope

I will say, I think this was an excellent post:

Why can't you justify expecting the most talented team in the country to actually win the NC?

Because high expectations almost always lead to misery. High expectations should be managed with an appreciation of what it actually takes to accomplish the feat. For whatever reason, fans tend to discount the fact that it's still difficult for a great team to accomplish great feats. If you can't handle high expectations as a fan, then don't have them, it's simply not worth it. Just my opinion.

Good thing we weren't the #1 seed with 9 draft picks and arguably the most talented team in the country. Bodies under the New Miss. River bridge would be piling up, otherwise. In all fairness, though, I would be ticked off if I were a UF fan, too. South Carolina has seemed to have taken LSU's place as THE dynasty program. Dang.

Why is it embarrassing to lose to a team that has won 22 straight postseason games?

Stoney Brook better get a different hitting coach. They have been too aggressive at the plate in Omaha, and it looks that will cost them their shot at a NC.

Florida had a better OOC schedule, but that's it

South Carolina's OOC weekend series were: VMI, Elon, Princeton, Clemson

    Arkansas' were Villanova, Valparaiso, Binghamton

you could say South Carolina playing Clemson was better than LSU playing Appy State, even though both were NCAAT teams, but considering South Carolina hit 25 for 112 (.223) vs Clemson in their early season series vs them, while LSU only hit 16 for 93 (.172) vs Appy State, that wouldn't help your case

as for weekday games, they didn't schedule anyone impressive either, and they didn't go undefeated in weekday games either, which LSU did for the first time in history (no small feat being most small schools save one of their best pitchers to use against us since its their game of the season)

as for SEC-only stats, you do realize LSU finished with a higher batting average than Florida, South Carolina and Arkansas yet again

LSU did awesome this season, going 7-2 vs the SEC teams that made the CWS, and winning the outright SEC Title...all this despite being ranked below all 3 of those teams in every preseason poll

yeah, it sucks our whole team underperformed vs Stony Brook, but they over-acheived all season long before that, and I'm proud of them

Not yet, but if they win their 3rd in a row, in this day and age, I think we have to give it to them.

Given Stony Brook's poor showing in the CWS, I think it's fair to say that the team just went into a slump, both on the mound and at the plate, at the wrong time during the SR. I admit that I didn't think so at the time, but looking back, Stony Brook really didn't do anything special. We just couldn't hit during that series.

LSU, as an entire team, underachieved big time in the Super (while Stony Brook was spectacular...did you not watch? the Box cheered them on a victory lap in our house bc they looked so spectacular...to be fair, Stony Brook had many more players drafted than we did), Stony Brook did the same thing underachieving big time in the CWS

    it is what it is
