I don't see CTT looking anywhere else. While LSU would be easier to step into than most programs, CTT is probably looking more to retiring early than starting over.

SOS though....now that is something I wouldn't want to see if Miles left. I bet the entrance requirements at SC drop very quickly if Miles did leave LSU.....

i have absolutely what is in coach miles' heart. i do know that he strikes me as a good man that gets attached to the community.

when he made the decision to leave osu and come to lsu, it was by all accounts that were given in the news, a very hard decision. the whole family went to tell the AD in person of the decision, and his retelling of it in a news story was that it was obvious the whole family had been crying because it was a difficult decision.

i do believe that if miles decides to leave lsu, it will not be without a great deal of thought, and not just about the money. i also believe it will be a difficult decision just because of what he has gone through (katrina, rita) with HIS community.

You are correct. Saban left the NFL because he is a Quitter who cannot tolerate adversity, not because he loves money.

Thanks for clearing that up for us, Terry.

It sure seems that there's a not small contingent that just hasn't accepted Les Miles, terrific coach and gentleman that he is as our coach.

They prefer that a--hole Saban--perhaps equating being a jerk to being a great hard-nosed coach. But, Jesus Christ couldn't please everyone, so I suppose Les shouldn't expect it either.

I think so too. I really like what Miles has done, but I think if Michigan is interested Miles will give it a hard look.

All this Saban bashing is really sickening. I can't believe some of you think the things you do. I hear a bunch of hens in the hen house clucking bitterly. Saban wasn't perfect and he really left us in a tough spot, but he played a large role in making us a national power, something we really haven't been since the 50s and 60s. Quite a joke.:nope:

I believe that as long as LLoyd Carr wins 9 games a year he can stay around here as long as JoePa over there at PSU. Thats just my feeling on it. IF he decides to retire however that would be a different story. If he does decide to retire I wouldn't doubt that he would call Les himself.

I know a couple old players and they are just like an extended family. IMO about the only former player that wouldn't be really welcome right now is J Harbaugh. I don't know what his deal is. I was thinking that if he did good as a coach for a couple more yrs the job would be his.

As for Les coming up here. Most of the guys I know don't think he's that high on the list. I had a guy tell me today that Jon Gruden would be here next year. I myself have seen LM coached teams play a couple of times, I got to say it would be a huge improvement over what LC has been doing the last 4-5 yrs...... Whoa good thing I got a back space key here ...I was going off on a rant...lol

So anyway, IF LC retires, I personally would love to see Les up here. Sorry guys, nothing personal. I don't think it would be easy for him to leave down there. He's got a good thing going on down there. Plus, I don't think most of you guys have ever seen snow. Another 8-10 yrs when I retire I will never see it again either. That has to be in the equation for him too.

Thanks for chiming in BigHouseDon. It's okay to rant and rumble here. We love Coach Miles here and would hate to see him go. Right now we are focused on winning another NC. Our road is a tough one, we feel we have the team to win it with. It will be a fun ride all season long. Hope you guys can rebound this week. I'm sure it's been a tough week in Ann Arbor.

Err... to clarify... I don't want to lose Les, I just hope we have a great season, which would likely attract the attention of Michigan. I feel secure in our coach's ability to win at this time. If he wins and wants to pick us over Michigan, I'm more than fine with that. Please, no more RED tomatoes... I'm not trying to run Lester off.
