So Eaux doesn't have the inside track? It's going to be Jimbo, isn't it? Lovely, let's pay for a Ferrari and get a Camry.

I'd be ecstatic. I'm giddy just thinking about it.

I just hope he doesn't end up as an assistant in Alabama.

Rouxleaux Do I get bonus points if I act like I care?

Far as I'm concerned it's eaux to lose at this point. He had this team ready to play. We destroyed the pigs and IMO unless we lay an egg down the stretch it's his job. He should get it frankly after this game. Simply the emotional factor of dropping another game to the gumps and not allowing this team to have a let down but instead to have them geared up is impressive. We haven't seen this in a long long time. Give the man the keys.

and then go out and get a great OC and watch us dominate...

If he wins out he deserves the job, period. This talk about "we need an offensive minded head coach" is bull $hit, Alabama doesn't have one. All we need is a head coach who is a good recruiter, a good motivator that the players will play hard for, be a great ambassador for LSU and will hire a great OC and then let him do his job. I think that describes Coach Eaux, and add to that he loves LSU and has stated that this is his dream job. His ability to get our guys up after the loss to Alabama and bitch slap the Hogs at their place shows me a lot.

As I have posted before, keeping Eaux would have a stabilizing effect on the program, particularly keeping this recruiting class in tact, and ensuring we keep Dave Aranda. No doubt there should be and I expect will be changes in the staff, but all in all, I don't see any downside to hiring him.

Agree on everything said here. And it would suck to lose him to another team.

Miles would have been great except for his inability to keep his grubby little fingers out of the offense.
