I got you...I guess I am just hyped this year for basketball players because of how strong and athletic this class is...Should be fun to watch....
What Coach Brady has done in the past 4 years is very respectable considering the program got hit with devastating scholarship limitations when he started. These sanctions were not of his own doing, but of Dale Brown and his staff. Making 2 NCAA tournaments and winning the SEC Championship (2000) without a full compliment of players is a great achievement. Also worth mentioning is the outstanding academic performance of the basketball players since Brady took over. Coach Brady now has a full scholarship load, so expect good things out of the Tiger basketball team in the years to come. :lsug:   :lsug: P.S. Brett, it's almost time to find a basketball smilie!!
Even though I am concerned I am just as excited as you guys about next season. There seems to be a bell curve with LSU basketball developing. You have the shaq era (high); followed by mediocre seasons(low); then you have the Stro era(high); followed by some,I think it's fair to say, average years(low). So what's next? There seems to be a pattern in all this chaos. I think LSU is poised to maybe (if our recruits pan out) suprise alot of people. MikeD, your statement about scholarship limitations is valid. Strong academics are definely a positive I wasn't aware of, I can concede that. Now that the NCAA sanctions are lifted and he has an awesome recruiting class it is put up or shut up time.
