Kinda makes me uneasy that he said this, only because last year he said he'd be "honored" to play bama again, and that's exactly what happened.
He could have definitely used a better choice of words last year, but if he had answered negatively the narrative would have been about how Les was afraid to face Saban again. And make no mistake about it, that would have certainly happened, because the sports media moved heaven and earth to give Bama their do-over. As much as it often appears to the contrary in public, Les isn't stupid, he knows these can be dicey political situations.
This year the 3 unbeatens have just as strong an argument as the one loss SEC champ. A playoff solves most of the problems. Could you imagine a puss 12 team having to play two top five teams back to back? Would they shit their pants or what? Remember when everyone said an SEC championship would end the SEC's chance at a national championship? A playoff will almost guarantee an SEC national champ.
