You can't be elected President more than twice. But you can become a Vice President. Nothing to stop him from being her VP. And a vice president can become President if the President cannot complete the term. He would not be elected.
So it may be possible for Bubba to become veep but if the woman formerly known as The First Bitch got impeached then he would have to either resign or remain veep while the House of Representatives Majority leader would take the reigns of office by natural progression. Would be interesting. A Republican president with a Democrat vice president who was a former president himself.
I believe one of them puts a limit of 10 years in the presidency. This to accommodate the potential of a VP inheriting the office.
That Jenner woman Geez... Talk about 99 problems with the 2016 candidates...Billy Clinton ain't one! Hit me!
Section 1 of the 22nd Amendment. Read the first line completely. Section 1. No person shall be elected to the office of the President more than twice, and no person who has held the office of President, or acted as President, for more than two years of a term to which some other person was elected President shall be elected to the office of the President more than once. But this article shall not apply to any person holding the office of President when this article was proposed by the Congress, and shall not prevent any person who may be holding the office of President, or acting as President, during the term within which this article becomes operative from holding the office of President or acting as President during the remainder of such term. Section 2. This article shall be inoperative unless it shall have been ratified as an amendment to the Constitution by the legislatures of three-fourths of the several states within seven years from the date of its submission to the states by the Congress. Two terms plus 2 years equals 10 years.
