Do you see the difference? Kosovo War, Isn't that the war were the UN was involved, had to help them. Didn't we bomb a chinease building or something? No, it is the war where NATO was involved. You remember our NATO allies? Yes we have a battalion of peacekeepers protecting minorities in Kosovo now, but they are not fighting insurgents. We never occupied Serbia at all. We just defeated them with airpower and they gave it up. And now their leaders are undergoing war crimes trials.
NATO Just kidding Do you think we could win most wars with airpower only? I think this was the exception to the rule.
So do I, but it is still a strategy to be sought whenever possible. Our naval and air superiority is overwhelming and we should take ruthless advantage of it and avoid fighting the fight our enemies want.

Elian Gonzalez.....common dough, that was just the US having fun and showing our brawn. Very little impact in the grand scheme of things on the world front. Clinton was a good president......we can go thru each president's administration and find tons of things they have done wrong. Shall we discuss Reagan and the Iran Contra issue???? No problem, I agree with you about each president and certain issues. I just wanted to point out the Elian thing was similar to the Terri Shiavo thing legally except a life was in danger here. The whole meaning of this thread however, it was relevant because it was a story in the news on this day.
