I agree with HogCity tigers post except for 2 things... 1) Hillary has zero chance of being elected president. There are too many moderates that won't vote for her plus she would have to carry at least 1 red state and that isn't going to happen. 2) Christopher Walken. He should at least run and become governor of California somehow. Kinda like Reagan or the Terminator... Hey, The Terminator for President, what an idea!
Sorry to come across as very crude last night but when I see the self serving leadership out there it infuriates me and I just throw out there what I feel at the time. This country is going to hell because of these politicians/ leaders love of the dollar or power or self serving interests. Take for example the latest scandal on capital hill. While at my shop today I listened to Limbaugh and O'rielly ask what the big deal is and why it's still in the news five days later as they engage in damage control and never address what the real problem is. They seem to miss the point that these leaders have embarrassed and shamed the ones they supposedly serve. Here's a guy sending inappropriate emails to a teenager while he's supposed to be voting on issues that affect our countries future. The rest of the world is watching us and sees our weakness in these areas and knows we are ripe for the fall. I've always been of the opinion that this country would never fall militarily but would only collapse from within. Our leadership has failed us and humiliated us in front of the world. How can we lead the world when this is the face we show them. I see the stress of the worlds events in my friends and families faces and I'm sure you all see it to. Look at the meanness of how we get along in these forums of which I am too guilty. We look for an outlet for our aggravation and take it out on those who are the ones that will need to be counted on in a time of crisis. It seems like everyone is looking out for #1 and to hell with the rest of the people. We are fed a constant stream of bad news on TV, the net and all media. Something very bad is going to happen in this country, it's not a matter of if but when. When it does we are the ones that are going to have to work together to save it. We are going to have to count on our family, our friends and the members of our communities. LSU fans, tide fans, hog fans all fans will have to come together as one or we will surely lose what so many have died to give us, our freedom. This country is slowly waking up as we discuss these things at the table, at work and hopefully it's not too late to save it. My best friend is a professional truck driver and the CB airwaves are abuzz with these very issues and they wish to be home more than ever. We have to come together as Americans today. Flame away if you will, I don't care what you think of me personally but United we will stand and divided. we will surely fall. Thanks and the best of luck to each and everyone of you. :hihi: Geaux Tigers! Freedom is not a thing, it is a spirit that you can feel in this short video I posted a while back. Here's a little mountain girl singing her tail off, our national anthem and when our F-16's flew over there was such energy in the air it was indescribable, 72,000 came together as one, and if your a true American you will feel when you watch the video. http://media.putfile.com/Fly-Over-USC-Game
Part of the lyrics from the song "Heart of the Matter" by Don Henley The words ring so true. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QE4PuhfY1JE These times are so uncertain There's a yearning undefined And people filled with rage We all need a little tenderness How can love survive in such a graceless age And the trust and self-assurance that lead to happiness They're the very things we kill, I guess Pride and competition cannot fill these empty arms And the work they put between us, You know it doesn't keep us warm
Wasn't she one of those hollywood commie socialists? http://www.cnn.com/2004/SHOWBIZ/books/02/17/books.natalie.wood.ap/index.html WEST HOLLYWOOD, California (AP) -- In 1981, when Natalie Wood drowned off Catalina Island under mysterious circumstances, the tabloids erupted in headlines that hinted at foul play. The actress, husband Robert Wagner and actor Christopher Walken were aboard the Wagner yacht, Splendour, that November night. After drinking and arguing for hours, Wood and Walken retired to their staterooms and Wagner remained topside with the pilot. Sometime later, Wagner went to the master stateroom to check on Wood and found she wasn't there. The dinghy, which had been tied beside the boat, was also missing. Walken notified the authorities and a search began. The dinghy was soon discovered in a Catalina cove. Shortly before dawn, the body of the 43-year-old actress was found floating face down in open sea; her parka kept her afloat. The Los Angeles County Coroner's Office decided that Wood had died accidentally, "possibly attempting to board the dinghy and had fallen into the water, striking her face." Still, the rumors continued: Was it murder? Sounds like Wagner did it.
