Is it more insane to say man can control earths climate? Why is it insane to ask what caused the ice age to end 12,000 years ago? Was Galileo and Curpernicus insane to question the "consensus" that the sun revolved around the earth? Man can't hardly predict the weather 2 weeks out which is why all weather sites stop at 7, 10, or 14 days out at most. Even then they are wrong half the time. Trying to debate you. Long term Climate impacts are almost an unscientific endeavor! Simply put, Science requires you be able to test a hypothesis. Climate Changes are so slow and gradual that the hypotheses are almost impossible to test. Let's say you are going to predict that the climate will be 1.5C warmer by 2100. That is fricken 80 years from now!! A 30 year old scientists will likely be dead before his experiment even concludes. Hansen will be long dead before 2100. So will Schmidt, Jones, Trentberth, Briffa, and of course ... Hockey Stick Michael Mann!! To date, all the "experiments" have failed. The Arctic still has ice .... the Climate is responding below prediction but the Carbon Economy is operating at the highest impact level of scenario 8.5. Wildfires are not more frequent, though some are pretty big, but that attribution can't be determined (forestry management, etc). Hurricanes are not more frequent or stronger. Tornadoes ...same. The Atlantic Conveyor has not stopped. We aren't all dead. We aren't all starving to death! Frankly, most people don't even realize the 0.6-8 C increase in global temp, because almost all of it is due to night-time temps, when everyone is asleep.
Did you know that there was a report that the suns gravity slowly changes over time and the Earth is actually getting farther away. Wouldn't this suggest that over thousands of years Earth actually cools?
