Clemson's tiger looks like Tony the Tiger after a long night involving underground clubs and kinky meds.
Nowhere in your rambling, incoherent response did you come close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. We are all dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points and may God have mercy on your soul. Just kidding... sounds like a joke i woulda made.:thumb:
Memphis has a real tiger, its actually related to Mike in some way, I think they have the same mom, not from the same litter though. But aside from us and Memphis, noone else has a live tiger.
Is the Memphis tiger on the campus or at a zoo? I thought we were the only school with a live tiger on campus.
I had time to look it up and his habitat is not on campus. http://gotigersgo.cstv.com/trads/mem-mascot.html
Tiger Stadium was never called Deaf Valley, Marty Mule made a major mistake in his book and a number of posters have picked up on it in the years after it was pulished. Tiger Stadium may have picked up the name Death Valley from of all people Grantland Rice. But to date I haven't found an article by him on this, but Grantland Rice's articles are not in a book or can't be found on line. One would have to go though all the papers from 20-45 range to find out if he did say that or not. LSU picked up the nickname Tigers in the early 1890's, from Wheat's sp. Bn. Clemson picked up the nickname Tigers in 1896 almost 3 years after LSU. LSU was playing the Tiger Rag in the early 1910's, Clemson picked it up much later. Tiger Rag wasn't recorded until 1917 long after it had been played in NO and BR. The college that had the first Death Valley wasn't LSU or Clemson, its an old north eastern school's stadium. BTW Clemson got the nickname from a coach who came from Auburn in 1896.
