Wasn't Georgia a one-loss sec champion last year?

    donut,

I don't know if it will be that easy for LSU to just walk into the NC game. You could potentially have Miami, FSU, and USC all with 1 loss at seasons end and Oklahoma undefeated. I don't know who is going to beat Miami before then though.

LSU won't jump FSU, Miami, and USC no matter who you beat in the SECCG. Remember the pollsters/voters are biased and play a factor in the BCS. The media loves Miami, FSU, and USC, they don't love LSU. Even if Miami loses and FSU and USC don't lose another game, LSU won't jump them in the polls.

Those are two NCAA powerhouses that will not be denied a shot at the NC by the voters. Bowden just set the all-time win record, if we don't beat FSU at the end of the season the powers that be will not deny Bowden another shot at a NC. Book it.

I know LSU fans are psyched but you have to remember you are an SEC team and the media and voters are not big fans of the SEC, they are big fans of FSU, Miami, USC, and Oklahoma. We are a conference that has a history of cheating.

I forgot the other teams were undefeated though, makes a difference. Assuming that miami loses, or OU. Hasn't OU lost to oklahoma state 2 years in a row now though?

I am only concerned with winning out and winning the SECCG. Those are things that Saban and crew can control. Who plays in the NC game is decided by others. You can only do what you can do.

    Good points sovietgator,
but I think that will remain true because if you look at where the points are coming from with us it's the damn computer averages, last week our average in those polls was 15? two had us at 18, I mean please even you don't like LSU, 18?! That cost us from 8 to 12 in the standing,Vtech lost, then with late losses inevitable, and that fact that our strength of schedule will no doubt rise, I mean it is the SEC, and to beat Georgia, or Florida would be more quality wins points, I still think it is a 90-95% chance, although you are right, book it may be a little strong

    Saban,

    That's it.

    jeff,

Yeah, OSU has had OU's number the last few years. Even if OU and Miami lose you could still have FSU and USC with one loss apiece that would go to the NC instead of LSU. The media, pollsters/voters, SugarBowl and BCS would LOVE that match up.

    donut,

The Sugar Bowl, Tourism Board, and City of New Orleans officials will all have a say in who they want, we both know they don't like LSU as the fans don't spend money or buy hotel rooms. That will play a part in all this too. With a bad economy they will want two teams that will have fans that will travel and stay a few days for the New Year. I'm just saying, don't get your hopes up.
