A good non-LSU but SEC player was a great rookie this season also. Dunta Robinson, CB for Texans, is in his first year after coming from South Carolina. That guy has great instincts and can already play with the big boys. LSU is sure to turn out some more great CB's just like we have and some of the other SEC teams have. The SEC is stockpiled with top talent and is definitely the best route to the NFL (per college conference players on NFL roster stats).

    M. Clayton is awesome and I expect great things out of him in the NFL. Everyone has taken notice of his skills and strong work ethic. Great person to represent LSU and the SEC.

Robinson should have been defensive rookie of the year, without question. The Texans had him on an island in man coverage from Week 1. With Aaron Glenn on the other side, teams picked on Robinson, and he did quite well. Vilma was great, but Robinson had the more impressive year.

But, surprise surprise, the NY guy is going to get the hype.

Robinson was def good for a rookie last year, but i think Vilma did deserve to be Defensive Rookie of the year, he definitely doesnt' play like a rookie and is constantly calling audibles, and changing the D, but i agree about him getting a lot of hype being in NY
