I bet you a lot of players that are about to be drafted in the first round have large amounts of cash on them...
Whatever? I know alot of rich people and none of them would carry that much cash! He got busted! Face it! Hopefully he can learn from his mistake and be a better person. And hopefully the LSU football team will learn also!:geauxtige
He got busted with pot, obviously. Did he get busted distributing pot? No. There's very little evidence, and it's all circumstancial, to suggest that he had an intent to distribute. When the charges for intent to distribute are dropped, I assume you'll agree.
I don't know. I'd be lying if I said I knew exactly how the process works, but I bet that they get loans from somewhere.
One of the papers quoted him as telling the cops the money was from the financial advisor; actually it makes some sense for the financial advisor to "invest" in him. ________ VISA GIFT CARDS
If he signed with an agent, the agent or "financial advisor" has already given him money. I guarantee this. Wroten had a 1st round tag. He has no reason to be "dealing" In fact I'm surprised it wasn't $40,000 instead of $4000, with his value to that agent.
After reading as many of the stories/articles on this I was able to find, it would appear as though Wroten did not try to hide anything. He was very up front in admitting what he had and was very cooperative with the policeman. He did give a agent/financial advisor contact number and police are checking it out. Reports say that attempts to check the number have been unsuccessful. However, give it some time and see. There may be a paper trail (check cashed) for the money for all we know. As for him possessing marijuana, it's his choice. Probably no harm to have it and smoke it. Reports give no indication that he was driving while under the influence of it. Was having it illegal though, yes? Was it stupid of him considering his future goals, most definitely!
