I know it's fun to sit here and speculate, but let's face it. we could easily be 6-5 at the end of this season if our offense doesn't improve a lot. Alabama has the best defense we will see this year and they can run the ball. Arkansas always gives us problems at their place. Ole Piss should be our easiest game, but........ We need to take care of business these last three games and the bowl game will take care of itself. One at a time. Alabama is the most important game of the season, so far. :geaux:
I agree that Alabama's D will be the toughest all year-- Do you remember when the columnist in the advocate said that OSU's D would be the best we faced all year? I think if our offense can give up less points than our defense, we will be OK.
Bowl projections The only way I see LSU in the Capital One is if Georgia wins out (beats Auburn). This probably puts Georgia in the BCS (Fiesta or Rose Bowl). Auburn will probably still win the SEC and get the BCS berth in the Sugar Bowl. That probably puts LSU in the Capital One if we win out. Tennessee, if they only lose the SEC Championship game probably goes to the Cotton Bowl. The Peach Bowl would probably love to have South Carolina if they finish strong. If the Outback is forced to take an SEC team they could end up with a 6-5 Alabama. If Florida is bowl eligible I see them in the Independence Bowl.
Damn, Chris Leeks brother must really suck if Clausen is the number 3. Thats a drag for the Vols, I wanted another good team to play Auburn so we can see if they really do deserve to be in the Orange Bowl.
That won't happen. The capital one has a contract to take the #2 big ten vs. a SEC team. If Wisc and Mich both make a bcs bowl then maybe Iowa in the capital one.
Tenness can do nothing but run the ball and win the 2 games left on their schedule. CJ Leak is way down the depth chart at defensive back.
I'm not sure why a 2-loss Georgia team that has it's second loss on November 13 ends up ranked in the top 6 in the final BCS yet a 2-loss LSU team with its last loss on October 2 does not. Auburn would have to win this weekend and go undefeated to play in the Orange Bowl and a 2-SEC loss Georgia team definitely sits at home while Tennessee goes to Atlanta for the SEC CG. Shouldn't it be LSU goes to a BCS game and Georgia to the Citrus in this scenario?
Another fun thing to look at.. Florida.. they have USC and FSU left.. they will likely lose one, if not both of those.. if they lose both.. they arent even bowl eligible.. thats a beautiful thing... we may lose to Alabama.. but should beat ole miss and arkansas.. Alabama will lose to Auburn.. we would still be in the Cotton Bowl..
