first she said she wasn't briefed. then she said she was briefed just misled. then an aide confirmed that she was told specifically about waterboarding and that it did happen

No I just honestly didnt see the interview. Doesnt mean she could have stopped it. Its still a lie, nonetheless.

    This is what I found.

    Inconclusive at best.

Who really gives a rat's ass what a representative from California knew? It was the Bush administration that ordered, orchestrated, and carried out the torture orders. Talk about trying to shift the blame . . .

So do you agree with what the bush administration did or not? Seems like earlier you said torture was fine so long as it was covert.

Has nothing to do with shifting the blame Red. I believe they should just behead them all, but waterboard them some more first. It has everything to do with Pelosi lying and making a big stink saying she knew nothing about what the Bush administration was doing. We now know that she knew exactly what was taking place, did nothing about it and then lied about it later. Whether you believe waterboarding should or shouldn't happen does nothing to justify her lies. Was the Bush administration arrogant and did they believe they were above the law....YES. Obviously Pelosi feels the same and is no better than them. Just another lying politician playing political games for her own gain.

I think you posted this in the wrong thread by mistake. This thread is about Pelosi lying to the American people not whether you believe that "enhanced interrogation" techniques are lawful or not.

I said IF torture was necessary it should have been done covertly, like it always has been done. The Bush administration's folly was to attempt to make it openly legal, which flew in the face of our justice system. We are signatories of international treaties forbidding torture and the constitution says that such treaties are supreme law.

Article VI of the US Constitution:

"This Constitution, and the Laws of the United States which shall be made in Pursuance thereof; and all Treaties made, or which shall be made, under the Authority of the United States, shall be the supreme Law of the Land;"
