Could be that we feel pretty good about Richardson and told Michael he would likely not receive an offer upon his visit. He wants to end it soon so it makes sense that he just go ahead and commit to A&M.
I don't think it has to do with Richardson so much as we just don't view Michael as a must-take with our current 2 RBs.
As much as he wowed everyone at the camp in Florida, I respectfully disagree. For whatever reason, it just hasn't panned out between Michael and LSU. Not sure if we'll ever find out the real reason that things have gone the way they have. The guy is legit and should be a take, as he provides a 3rd type of RB compared to Ford and Pratt. Nobody is guaranteed in the 2010 class in terms of the RB position. I expect him to commit to A&M within the next couple of weeks.
LSU stopped recruiting him hard... that is the reason. According to you, but apparently not the coaches. I agree.
They also may feel good about another player at another position and use that scholarship on him because they feel that need is greater and you know they already feel good about the two RBs they have commited already. Also maybe they can twist this and show this as a commitment to Lache who's birthday is today j/k.
good point This is conjunction to what Parso has been saying all along, Richardson or bust. He appears to be dead on with that one.
What about Michael's academics? Perhaps they are another factor. Just throwing it out there, I don't know how his grades are.
:geaux::crystal::helmet: Agreed this is what it boils down to. This could be especially true if LSU is only looking at 20 - 23 signees in this class. We have greater needs at other positions (WR, DB, TE, DE) when compared to RB. Wouldn't bother me a bit if we only take the two RB's we have and use the remaining spots for other positions of need. :geauxtige:champs::LSU231:
Well it looks like someone is keeping tabs on CM, and Im glad we did...He's a hell of a athlete. Hope we can land him, now that we're his top team.
