"Rebuilt?" Sorry but that's a knee-slappa there. When you "rebuild" a motor, it's supposed to run, ain't it? If Miles "rebuilt" OSU, how come they didn't win their first Big 12 Conference until 2011, SEVEN years after he left? In his last 3 years there he took his teams to the Houston, Cotton, and Alamo bowl. Lost 2 of the 3 but did beat Southern Miss in the first one. In fact the year after he left, they went 4-7. Hardly a rebuild. I'd argue he ran them into the dirt like he was about to do here. Sorry @StaceyO , he made me.
Les was one of our last choices on the list. We shoulda sent him to Michigan in '07 since that's when he went to shit anyhow. Maybe we'd have Harbaugh.
I dunno about all that. He was Miles' OC though. Maybe start a thread on that and we can discuss it, if you care to. Back to the "rebuild," I still don't see evidence that Miles left him a well-oiled machine like you're once again trying to sell us. Sorry, just don't see it. Not many coaches can say they rebuilt programs. Despite what many believe, Saban didn't rebuild LSU or Alabama. He came to LSU with a roster chock full of talent. With Bama I'm not sure their history or what the situation was when he arrived but there was no "rebuild" there. They were a storied program before he got there.
Out of curiosity, I did some reading. I have to admit that I find this odd but Miles' predecessor is actually given a lot of credit for bringing that program forward; despite never winning shit to speak of. http://newsok.com/article/3633037
Sure I can. I would be fine with saying he rejuvenated our program. LSU was no slouch, historically. We had 10 conf championships and a National one before he came here.
