How would you like to have 92,000 people watch you do your job and millions more on TV and every one of them questions your every mistake because they all know in their hearts that they could do your job better than you?

Look at Spurrier's deal. He was making right at $2 million at FU. In Washington, he's making $5 million/year, guaranteed for 5 years. So, NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS, he's got $25 million in the bank after 5 years (taxes, notwithstanding). He would have had to work another 12.5 YEARS at Florida to make that up.

So, in 2-5 years, if the Washington gig doesn't work out - HE STILL GETS THE $25 million. Then, ANY college will still pay him $2-3 million (depending upon the then going rate) to come back and coach in college.

My bet is that Saban is looking for the same type of deal.

I agree, if Saban were to go to another school I would be very disappointed, but if he leaves to go pro you can't blame him.....If thats what he wants to do then let him go.....IMO he has already done what he was brought here to do.....

IMO, by Bertmans comments it sounds like he is expecting something in the near future, rather it be next year or 2 years from now....who knows????????
