    You mean like this?

This is my current vehicle (2007 F-150 STX). The pic is from spring '08, about 4 months after I bought it. Got rear-ended on Airport freeway in Euless, TX. At the time I was sure they would total it, but instead I got a complete frame replacement, bed replacement and new tranny. Over $13k in repairs. I've now had it over 4 years and 76k miles. Runs like new, drives straight-not a single problem until I try to sell it. Someone pulls a carfax on this guy and they will run like hell.

If any of you are really considering a new truck, here is an unbiased review of the big 3's 3/4 and 1 ton models. They each have advantages and disadvantages. One interesting comment from the article was that they wondered if Chevy hadn't sent them a "hot" truck for the tests since it did so much better in the acceleration tests. All it takes is reprogramming the ECM to the task at hand, ie acceleration.

Also of note, in the OP's tests regarding frame twist, the test was designed specifically to take advantage of Chevy's new IFS (independent front suspension). There are advantages and disadvantages for IFS.

To sort of sum up their analysis, the Ford was the best daily driver, the Chevy won the acceleration tests, and the Dodge was best suited to towing. However, it would really come down to personal preference and what was important to you. With my F250, I towed about 8K pounds daily while still a contractor. All of the trucks would do fine. The difference pretty much comes down to which one looks the best to you, or which one you get the best deal on.

BTW, the Dodge trucks in these tests were right at $10k cheaper than the Ford and Chevy offerings.
