I didn't say he shot anyone. Red said he wouldn't vote for a Republican because they lie, or misrepresent.....

Oh so the press is jumping down the WH's throat on this but when Clinton sent his family and friends out and threw them under the bus, making them lie for him, the press wasn't nearly as mad about that. The Clinton's didn't tell anyone that Vince Foster was murdered and that has office had been rummaged through for 2 days. No press going crazy then either........

This is the hypocrisy I speak of........

I believe the joke is that he shot Monica in the face.

Anyway, I wonder if Cheney will mount his trophy.

Then there might be a high likelyhood of a preemptive hunting accident.

What planet are you from, white boy? When you shoot your partner in the face with a shotgun it is universally considered to be "violating hunting etiquette"!

The point I was making was about gun responsibility, a concept you do not seem to understand. The shooter has an immensly higher responsibility than bystanders because he is the only one with control of the weapon.

Perhaps you are just digressing to indulge an odd compulsion to get in the last post.

Well, why would the press mention it now, LC? When Clintons dirty laundry was hanging out he was big news and was hammered hard in the press. But Clinton is history.

Now, Bush is in office and his dirty laundry is hanging out and its big news. Are you really shocked? Who gives a rat's ass about Clinton today? About as many who give a chit about Nixon.

Bush apologists cannot just point a finger at Clinton and say "Look! Over There!" The public knows where the buck stops, even if members of this administration don't seem to.

    'Repulicrat, Democran, one-party system....'

Just because someone says they wouldn't vote R, doesn't mean they will vote D...it's one in the same anyway.

Boy, no kidding. That old act is extremely tired. Anytime the heat is brought on this admin, apologists act as if Clinton's actions are a get-out-of-jail free card. Not quite...

i agree with that entirely. a few times i have been injured by the stupidity of my friends, i yell at them and thats about it. nobody else needs to worry about it.

thats a fair way to look at it. (not sarcastic)

i do think it is interesting how different our views are on bush and cheney. i think the main thing about bush is that he is honest, and you really disagree. and my view of cheney is overwhelmingly favorable, as i see him as a genius and an ultra-competent fellow who i respect for apparently not giving a damn about appeasing people and being nice to everyone, content to treat his career like a challenge, a puzzle to solve, not a popularity contest, which i think is really rare for a politician.

i respect cheney's intelligence, while most polticians i think of like i would think of actors or artists or other dumb attention seekers.

How things were handled historically holds the perspective for every current event. If you don't think so, then don't bring up one more thing about how Iraq compares to Vietnam. We're not talking about Nam....we're talking about Iraq Red.

Every discussion is framed from history.....but mainly with you, it's which history you chose to acknowledge no?

The discussion was how the press attacked.......it's fair to bring up history in how the press reacts to things then. That's what I did. If you don't like it, don't answer the truth.

you're correct, its not necessarily exclusively one's fault or the other. it definitely isnt a given the shooter is always at fault. With bird shot there is a large spray and the farther the distance the larger the pattern. many times I've been dove/duck hunting with others and when you aim at a relatively high angle you'll hear the pellets come through the trees if someone shoots within distance and thats almost always the case. if you aren't aware someone from your group is in a general area and/or they havent announced their change of position, they are at fault.

now if he was 10 feet away and shot the dude in the face, he may need to have his vision checked. if the dude moved suddenly from behind cover unannounced, he deserves buckshot in the face instead.
