That may be true. I hear the rumor is there was the caveot if Miles did not coach the TIgers his guaranteed money if he was not retained with next coach was little to none? I did not look at it from an administrative standpoint. I also think Chavis sees the writing on the wall with our offense: it may not be consistent enough to give his defense a chance to get off the field and not look bad. I think A&M has a proven investment in a high powered offense. They have recruited studs on defense the last 2-3 years. Maybe Chavis sees an opportunity to improve a defense in need that will complement a stable offense and be very successful. I dont think he can say he sees that at LSU right now. Maybe he just wanted more money and a change of scenery.
Or maybe he's a little bitch who didn't get what he wanted so he decided to take his ball and go home.
Well fuck him now, he's Tiger Bait. At least we know we will never have a problem converting on 3rd down against A&M again.
You know who LSU should talk to who I don't think has a job right now but is one of the best defensive coordinators of all time? Wade Phillips.
Wade & I were born in the same hospital in Orange TX. He's 3 months older than me so he's obviously getting a little long in the tooth. I think he would be an excellent hire.
