A lot of people don't like Ed Orgeron but the man is a hell of a recruiter and a very good coach. He has never officially held the title of Defensive Coordinator but he is more than qualified to do the job. All I am saying, is Give Ed a Chance!
Him and Orgeron as DL coach or any position would be an good upgrade, plus you would get a great recruiter
O said he wasn't interested "at this time". Wondering if he's hoping for a HC gig somewhere. I would love him on the staff just for his recruiting prowess. He could help seal the fences around LA. He has a lot of good relationships with LA HS coaches.
"Clancy Pendergast is a former defensive coordinator for the USC Trojans football team. He is the former… defensive coordinator for the NFL's Arizona Cardinals, Kansas City Chiefs and the University of California Golden Bears" http://www.nola.com/lsu/index.ssf/2014/12/lsu_reaches_out_to_ex-usc_defe.html
After reading up on Pendergast, I really want this guy. Just imagine what he could do with our studs. Single, no kids, work-aholic, and loves to get after the QB. Also makes wrapping up and proper tackling a priority, and has proven to shut down mobile style QBs.
