Chavis gone... Who should we pursue as new DC?

    No not the same thing. Playing soft zone on 3rd and long is many times the right call. Repeatedly playing soft zone as a team marches the length of the field to win the game on the final drive is not.

    Not heartbroken over him leaving if he does. Maybe they can find a DC who can finish big games that are close.

    Miles better be on the phones already trying to find a DC. In a perfect world, it would be a guy like Venables and Orgeron as DL coach and some recruiting title. With Orgeron and Frank recruiting, we'd be pretty strong on that front. The main thing is to get it done quick. Daylon Mack is gone if Chavis and Brick both leave. We don't want to lose guys that are actually committed.
