it sounds like he has some very personal issues that he is dealing with. from my reading, don't expect to see Chase play football anytime soon.

I wish him well wherever life takes him. I can not imagine losing a sibling. I would guess it is something you never really get over.
That's what I was afraid of. Chase didn't go to Texas for Chase. He went to UT to try to live up to his brother's memory. It's sad, and I hope he lands somewhere on his feet, even if he doesn't play football anymore. Yes, there are some Evangel players who are a little overhyped and have a lot of trouble living up to those often unrealistic expectations. But watching those two guys play in high school like I did, I know they were The Real Deal. We will probably never know what might have been.
I've always said that this is the only guy that ever lived up to his hype coming out of Evangel. Although he was not all that hyped. Abram Booty was good as a frosh and that is it end of story.
