You're forgetting one important fact and that is there has not been one terrorist attack on American soil post 9/11 due in part to the amount of money being spent over seas. (you can't put a price tag on that.) The so called "calming effect" Obama will have on the world would be the calm before the storm.
When was the last terrorist attack prior to 9/11? I think there is a strong argument that the money we've spent over seas "fighting terrorism" could have been better spent in terms of national defense. I can't believe that so many people have been paralyzed by the actions of 3rd world terrorists across the ocean. The terrorists are winning if we think its us against the world. There are holes in our borders that illegals exploit on a daily basis, and that isn't the half of it; how does overthrowing the government of a country that poses little direct threat solve that? I actually believe we are worse off; we've stirred up a hornet's nest, spent out the ass, and have fatigued our military. Fighting shadows with the might of the US army is foolish.
Thats a horrible way to think Sabanfan, just because someone doesnt vote the way you vote, you wish they where not here? If thats what you are saying, thats pretty much discrimination. I think its sad that you think that way. You are afraid of Obama getting into office, because you care about what you want. What about the rest of the country that is hurting because of George Bushs policies? He is the worst president in history imo, and should be impeached for his lies and misinformation that lead us into this war in Iraqi, if we can try to impeach a guy for a blowjob, we can impeach a guy that has cost us countless American lies over a false war. But I guess republicans care more about who is getting blowed than who is getting blowed away. While half of them are practicing a golf stance in airport bathrooms and getting massages from cabana boys.
Where do I say I don't want anybody here? I said if they can't read an English ballot they shouldn't be voting. I don't expect everyone to agree with me but that's how I feel. Discrimination does not always have racial connotations. I think our electoral process should be more discriminating. Too many people are voting who have no business doing so. I am afraid of Obama because he has does not have the requisite experience to lead the country. What I do know of him is disconcerting. As far as me caring about what I want, who will if I don't? You believe what you will. I won't hold it against you.
I didnt say anything about racism, I am just talking about discrimination in general. You could discriminate against someone who has a different boat motor than yours. Your opinion of his experience and what you know about him is disconcerting to you. But that would probably be with Clinton. But Obama won the primary so someone must have a different view than you. But I am not going to argue for Obama on here anymore, because it really doesnt matter, I would be spinning my wheels. Especially here, everyone seems to follow the leader here on opinions. However, I do think its sad that you will imply that a muslim is running for president, when we dont have one running for president. To push that lie is wrong imo for anyone. Differ with him on policies and ideals, but pushing falsehoods Im not for that. Please dont hold it against me, we can agree to disagree. Thats what makes this place great.:thumb:
Yet it's not ignorant to believe that George Bush, an honorable man with no political ambitions and a true desire to protect Americans from harm, lied to get the US into a war for personal gain? Whatever my man.
Thats one side of the opinion. so its not ignorance to call someone a muslim who is actually a Christian. And if he was a muslim, being that you wouldnt vote for him because of that. Isnt that discrimination? my man.
