I hope Chad is able to make a full recovery. It sounds like his leg injury is severe.

He's in surgery right now. Not sure the extent of damage yet but hopefully this isn't career ending though from descriptions of compound fracture and exposed vessels, it doesn't sound good.

    Prayers to you Chad.

From the looks of the vehicle, they used the jaws of life to get him out. It looks like the doors were cut and peeled back toward the rear of the vehicle.

I read somewhere that he had to be extracted, and that usually means JOL.

He must have been traveling at a high rate of speed or been hit by someone who was. That is a big car to crumble.

    From NFL.Com

"The 21-year-old Jones was driving his 2010 Range Rover just after 6 a.m. when he lost control of his car and hit a street car pole, according to police. Two other passengers in the vehicle were not as badly injured."

He hit a pole so he must've been going extremely fast. At least he signed his contract last week with the Giants.

Looks horrible. His playing career is definitely over, but that's the least of his worries at the moment. ESPN is reporting nerve and arteries were exposed, and Adam Schefter tweeted that doctors are currently trying to save his leg.

    Awful, awful, awful news.
