:hihi: USC is a media darling - that's fine. I'm very satisfied with LSU - academically and athletically. It is sad that not every person in Louisiana feels the same; it is the state university. I don't have a problem with Tech, you provide higher education too. Tech fills a niche. I don't know why you feel the need to compete with / sling mud at the state university. LSU represents our state well. Hopefully Derek Dooley will help Tech football rebound from the slump they've been in.
i dont look at as meyer "caught a break". they made their break by going 12-1 with that sched. so. cal caught a break by being in the discussion after losing to the beavers.
Yes, believe me, LSU fans wish that they were a bunch of stuck-up fairweathers who look lost and uninspired at the games. Really, who wouldn't want to be that? By the way, you might want to go look up the final poll. It appears to me that LSU has every bit of the national respect that USC does. Now run along, little doggy. I think it's a-feedin' time.
Good. I'm over climbing the ranks to the top. I want the tigers to come in at the top... dominate all... and finish at the top. I think we are ready to do it too. Think about the ND game. Everybody's initial reaction was "oh man we are going to crush ND" then after time went by there was alot of downplaying how bad we might beat them and that ND was respectable and might give us a good game. Then look at the outcome. There wasn't any need to give ground. We should have kept saying we were going to crush them from the get go. I don't think there is any team we can't beat. Even when we lose it is to future NC winners and other top 10 finishers. We dont come out and toss important games to horrible programs like UCLA. Thats why I think USC is on a downturn and their lifeline is the horrible conference they play in.
Pittman and Ginn both declared for the draft. Ohio State's prolific offense, which of course wasn't nearly so prolific when they actually played a truly great defense, is now losing the QB, RB and both receivers, as well as one of the most dangerous return men in college football. No way in hell you put Ohio State any higher than 15. And that's pushing it. My list: 1. USC 2. LSU 3. Texas 4. Michigan 5. Florida 6. West Virginia 7. Oklahoma 8. Wisconsin 9. Virginia Tech 10. UCLA 11. Georgia 12. Auburn 13. Texas A&M 14. Tennessee 15. Nebraska 16. Ohio State 17. Rutgers 18. South Carolina 19. Boston College 20. Florida State 21. Arkansas 22. California 23. Louisville 24. Georgia Tech 25. TCU 29. Miami 35. Kentucky 36. Alabama 42. Notre Dame 44. Penn State
Personally, I feel the champs should be number one at the start. 1 Florida 2 USC 3 LSU 4 Texas 5 Michigan
Too many key players on D left early. And there is no way anyone can be totally sold that lefty can actually throw the ball effectively.
