We looked pathetic for the most part...

    Here's what I don't get...
Jason Manson, who has backed up Tate for the last two years, finds out Saturday morning that Tate can't go. The problem here is Manson has been practicing at wide receiver during fall drills, as Jake Christensen had beaten him out.
Because Manson is from the NE and all his family and friends are at the game, we decide to give him the start.
Now I understand he's a great guy and all.. and this would be a great reward for a fifth year senior.... and Ferentz is all about "team"... but, for the life of me, I can't follow the logic.
We have a red-shirt freshman in Christensen, who's a 5 star QB, who, most say, was playing at Tate's level this fall... and is more accurate... and who is "the future".
I just don't get that decision.

So Tate didn't play, Albert Young had limited carries (shoulder) and Dominick Douglas, a freshman who had won the starting job at WR (and does our punt returns) was out with a groin pull....
Still, our defense was intact, great against the run, but had little pressure on the QB. Our corners were awful, our receivers are RRC (route running challenged).

We better get our ducks in a row... and soon.

And, yes, the seven play goal line stand from the two to end the game was outstanding. At least we won.

Sounds like you feel the same way I did when Saban played Matt Flynn in the Capital One Bowl against yall. He finally put JR in and carried us back to a lead but as you can see it was too late.
