I wonder if this will have any impact on the Rose Bowl which paired the top non-playoff eligible team from both the Big Ten & PAC-12. The PAC-12 will be a shell of itself.
The Rose Bowl in it's current form is all but done. Maybe they host the B1G Championship game but it won't be played on January 1st and there's no guarantee a former PAC-12 school will even make the game. The PAC-12 is on life support. I would be surprised if they didn't have more schools leave.
Yep, put a fork in her, she's done. The AZ schools, Utah, and Colorado all said they'd be applying to the Big12. Oregon needs to move fast or they will be left behind. I suspect USC protected the annual rivalry games with ND and ucla. I can see Nebraska becoming a great conference match-up going forward. Have always marveled at the loyalty of the Cornhusker fans.
stupid college football,.. i'm about fed up with it,.. i think the NFL going to be my football fix from now on
I just heard someone say the possible merge into two 32 team conferences. SEC/ACC merge and B1G, Big12, and PAC merge. It’s going to get a lot more interesting over the next few years. 2019 was the last year of traditional college football. We are in a new era now.
Ga Yech has came hat in hand a couple of times before in an attempt to get back in the SEC. Hell will probably freeze over before it happens.
EUGENE — UCLA and USC are heading to the Big Ten, the future of the Pac-12 is in doubt and Oregon’s place in the looming shuffle is unclear. Will the Ducks remain in the Pac-12? Will they join the Los Angeles schools by bolting to the Big Ten? Asked for a response to reports about UCLA and USC’s move, and whether University of Oregon president , or AD, engaged in talks with the Big Ten commissioner for Oregon to do the same, a UO spokeswoman told The Oregonian there was, “Nothing to add at this point.” The Pac-12′s grant of rights expires on Aug. 1, 2024, with UCLA and USC officially joining the Big Ten the next day. Multiple reports suggest the Big Ten conference could be looking to expand to more than 16 teams so, i guess Oregon moving to the Big10 would be ok, more $ and better games to watch,.. tho i fear by august 2024, college football will be least of America's problems
