The top secret NSA document reveals that Russian military intelligence executed a cyberattack on at least one U.S. voting software supplier, and that Russian hacking may have penetrated further into U.S. voting systems than previously understood. Although the intelligence officer who supplied the document cautioned against drawing too big a conclusion without further analyses, the report raises the possibility that Russian hacking may have breached at least some elements of our voting system. https://theintercept.com/2017/06/05...ian-hacking-effort-days-before-2016-election/
MSNBC - Greta van Susteren has just led off with this story. The Feds just arrested a woman for the leak.... which pretty much confirms that the document is genuine.
By the way, I've been saying for YEARS that we should do away with electronic voting machines and go with paper ballots... which are much more secure and auditable. Every election I cast my vote into some electronic black box in Baton Rouge with ABSOLUTELY ZERO ASSURANCE that it gets counted in the column it's supposed to be. The software is proprietary and thus only the proprietor (or maybe some hacker) knows where it truly goes.
Her (the leaker) name is Reality Winner. What an egocentric name to give someone. Her parents did her wrong.
