I agree this one stings, but we're actually quite fine on..on depth at CB.

Remember this name, Brandon Taylor. He's going to push for the starting job vs Hawkins, if Hawkins doesn't improve.

This just means we have to find a couple of really solid CBs in 2010, a little more pressure than what it would have been otherwise, but truly that's all it amounts to.

With guys like Logan, Montgomery and Brockers coming off the edge, we're going to make the opposing QB's lives miserable in ther coming years. We may not need to hold coverage on the receivers for too long. :thumb:

Let's not forget we just hired one of the premier defensive secondary coaches in Mr. Cooper.

    Things are good. Really good.

We lost two 5-star players and dropped to #2. That's the definition of nasty. As islstl said.. things are really good right now.

    How right you are.

Hawkins is gonna be the elder statesman of the group. The bad news for him is that, as a senior-to-be, he ISN'T head-n-shoulders above anyone. And look at the young, highly-touted recruits we landed in the past 3 seasons:

    Jai Eugene, Jr.
    Phelon Jones, RS.Soph
    Patrick Peterson, Soph
    Ron Brooks, RS. Soph
    Derrick Bryant, RS. Fresh
    Brandon Taylor, RS. Fresh

That's a LOT of talent at the CB position. ...and talent that will be around for the next few years.

Remember how excited we ALL were with the signings of Phelon Jones and Taylor just a year or two ago??? Remember the hype that the experts were saying about Bryant and Brooks being highly UNDERRATED???

We're going to be fine at the CB position...

Derrick Bryant is a personal favorite of mine. I hope he does well.

maybe jackson just knew he wanted to play safety and he would never get a chance because craig loston eats little children for breakfast, and jackson was scared of some competition. he is a coward, his coach is a coward, all of them, and he will regret it.
