Another reason why this whole deal makes no sense. To take advantage of the rebate, you have to buy a brand new car, which is worth the same as a used car the second you drive it off the lot. The so called rebate or voucher is swallowed by the extra $$ you are paying for new as opposed to used.
Hey, this thread is about clunker automobiles, not clunker people. What are you doing in here?
i was going to ask this. id much rather take my 4500 and buy a couple nice bikes, a couple pairs of shoes and a bus pass.
I've got my 35 year old Schwinn Continental 10 speed I'll sell you. Built like a tank. Should last another 25 years. Make me an offer!
i am with you bro. except in most cities the bus is for losers. trains are where its at. if barry the communist wants to throw money at the environmental BS, he should build high speed trains. i would freaking love it if they had a japanese turbo train from boston to miami and maybe from Los angeles to atlanta. instead we authorized 2 billion more for this car dump nonsense today. also bicycles are awesome. one the worst things about baton rouge is that it is too spread out to ride a bike. i wish i had that bike. i would make it a kick ass single speed and ride it up and down and speedin' bikes rule. save the planet.
Believe it or not, it still gets ridden regularly. I do get a bit envious at all the super light weight bikes out there now, but I like this one for a lot of reasons. Only modification I have done is put a gel seat on it. No telling how many miles it has on it.
