This reminds me of the Dinardo to Notre Dame questions back after he won a couple of seasons. I wouldn't get worried yet, too early, ad too much can still happen.

In NO way am I saying that Miles is anything like Dinardo, though!

    Another rumor mongerer on si.com

"Michigan football coach Lloyd Carr, who turns 62 later this month, won't say he is retiring. But it would be a huge upset if he doesn't. The only reason Carr won't come right out and announce his retirement is because he doesn't won't any fond farewells when the Wolverines take the field this year. In addition, there is no way Carr would do anything he thinks might hamper the Michigan program, for instance, recruiting."

No he won't. The SEC and its' fans scare the crap out of all but the toughest, thick skinned coaches. Rita wouldn't be able to make through to spring practice.
Besides he has just as easy of a conference (or easier) as lil' Petey Carrol.

Sounds like sour grapes to me. Bama thought he was good enough to make him an offer. Why did he turn it down? Who knows? saban turned down several offers from the pros before taking the Miami job, was he scared of the NFL, or just thought the situation wasn't right?

I never said that he wasn't good enough. Beside, anyone that came to Bama this time was walking into a situation that is about as good as it's gonna get. The Bama Nation HAS to be patient. Couldn't afford to run anyone off...even if he was being paid $250K a year. Personally, at the time I was wanting Paul Johnson because I never thought that CNS or CSS would come.

I reiterate that I don't think that Rod has the constitutional make up to play week in and week out in the SEC. Just an opinion.

Bama Nation....patient. Three words that have never before appeared in the same sentence.

If you Bama posters start talking in terms of "focusing on the process" or "relative to," we'll know the end is near. :hihi:
