Basing this on what seems to be the general concensus around the Tiger nation.... one.

The local news guy here actually kept referring to him as 'Visor Boy' yesterday. It was hilarious.

It's a bit silly to think about with any seriousness, but it's fun to discuss the fact that LSU missed on one of the best football coaches in history by about 20 days.

At SC, Spurrier is going to have to rebuild the sailboat before riding off into the sunset of his career - at LSU, with this load of talent, he only needed to board the vessel. Maybe he wants to build from the ground up, but I can't imagine he knew the extent of the foundation damage at South Carolina.

Watching a Spurrier LSU team drag opponents up and down Death Valley would have been a blast - we would never get fully comfortable with it, but we would have a hell of a time watching it unfold. I was deeply annoyed that we missed out on him by mere weeks.

It's nothing against Miles, I think we did very well for ourselves given the circumstances, but nobody, absolutely nobody, brings the level of credibility to the SEC like Steve Spurrier - not even close...

Anyone see Spurrier to Alabama if the wheels fall of in Tuscaloosa - not a pleasant thought...

I'm pretty sure Joepa had to demote "Jayson" last year from QB coach back to tight ends coach, which Jay was before. The PSU website still shows the coaching bios from last year, so I couldn't confirm it.

A quote off their website: "this is his fourth season coaching the quarterbacks. He has been instrumental in Zack Mills' direction of the diverse Penn State offense".

"Diverse"?? Say what? :hihi: :hihi: ... more like "reverse"!

I bet the old ball coach has thought once or twice about how it would have been to be at LSU right now, with all the offensive talent we have loaded up here and all the hype we are getting this year (which is is all about).
