PURPLE TIGER HOPE is not a strategy!

I don't give a rat's ass about either one of them and hope they both get so banged up that they each lose a few more games.

What I think is stupid is that he's making millions in an Ohio market and then talking crap about their college team which I'm guessing they probably cherish more than their lousy pro team. He won't be selling many jerseys locally this year.

If he was truly tired of hearing about the Buckeyes, did he think this would finally silence the masses?

Someone should also point out to him that it was two SEC teams that crushed the Buckeyes...not some weak-ass Pac-1 school. :crystal::crystal:

someone should point out to you that the Pac 10 and Big 10 are big rivals because of the Rose Bowl.

It may be the Granddaddy of them all but it's far from being the best bowl game. It's essentially a great parade where they decide to play a football game for a side show.

Subtract the major tv markets in Big 10 & Pac-1 country and all the overplayed hype goes away as well. Then you just have another unspectacular game.

I like the Big Ten, Big 12, and a few other conferences but you'll have a hard time selling me on the Pac-1. I lived in California and listened to people try to tell me how the Pac-1 was so superior to all other conferences...including the SEC.

Sorry, I just don't buy into all the Californication B.S.! It's phony, it's pretentious, it's crap.

The Rose Bowl should either conform to the rotation or be left out of the BCS.

I agree. The Rose Bowl is a time killer until the night game comes on.

“I’m a Trojan all the way, and I was talking to a Trojan audience in California,” the statement read. “I guess I got a little fired up, as all good fans will do. But I really do respect the Buckeyes, and I know their fans are passionate, too. I hope they all understand I’m just looking forward to a big game for my school against a very tough opponent, and that it’s all in the good fun of a rivalry. You don’t have a real rivalry unless both sides are great teams.”

Sounds like a normal person to me.

I really don't see a problem with what he said. Think about it, would you turn your back on Drew Brees or Reggie Bush if they said the same regarding their schools? What about Deuce and Ole Miss? If you're getting all butt-hurt because the star of your favorite NFL team is talking trash about your favorite college team, you need a bit of a reality check.
