This is exactly why it should and will be played in TS. The pmac will be pretty much cleared by then.
If the game is moved, I want a ticket refund. I cannot and will not drive to Shreveport or Houston. Having said that I agree with Dubois.
I agree with the article. I suggested before that maybe it could be played on the road, but I think at some sort of home away from home would be appropriate. Time for the main two "play in TS no matter how inappropriate" guys to jump all over us again telling us we are ALL stupid, and NO ONE on the board has any common sense.
i'm not going to tell you your stupid. when i said people were being stupid I was refering to the people who where suggesting that we might not play this year and that the semester might be cancelled. Thats who i thought was not using common sense. As far as this goes, Red hit the nail on the head. The situation has improved greatly and by the end of week there will hardly be anybody or bodies on campus. So why not play it there? Carls makes good points but he fails to realize that by saturday the campus won't be like this. And I say the game will be played in TS and if I knew any of you in person I would put money where my mouth is.
I'm certain that's the kind of fan support that LSU officials are looking for as they try to come up with a solution to an impossible situation. :dis:
Geez, now where would I get the idea, 777, that you were calling people who thought the game could be played not in TS stupid and having no common sense. Let's see, now just where would one get that idea......
And like i just said, i was talking about the people who wanted all the games played away til november and the people thought we should cancel the season. This still all comes down to money plain and simple. Oh and I apologize for being a dick in the other post. I meant what i said I just typed it wrong and I came off like a dick.
777..I understand what you are saying about money, and in all fairness I think LSU will be compensated by the government for assisting in the Hurricane relief efforts. I think the fact that the Saints are not playing the Giants in Tiger Stadium in 2 weeks for the home opener is a sign that there are still plans out there to possibly move LSU's game this weekend to a neutral venue. I highly doubt LSU allows the game to be moved to AZ State, but Shreveport is a real possibility.
