1. I think this is kind of interesting.
  2. why do the screenings cost so much? I have always wondered why everything in the medical profession costs so damn much. An X ray is like 600 bucks, come on, really? It cost 600 bucks to push a button? Or maybe it just costs 600 bucks because the tech has to look at my white ass through the slit in the hospital gown, i don't know.

Medical costs are out of control, why is that, please someone explain this to an ignorant fellow.
  3. When It comes to lives I always take the cautious approach.
I don't have a problem with individuals making their own decisions.

What I have a problem is all of a sudden government coming out with information that is exact opposite of what has been the standards in this country for many years.
Right before they socialize the country.
  4. Some of this is because you aren't paying for your services.
Third party payer is responsible for at least some of this.
Next time you go in for a physical or something ask your doctor how much it
would cost you if you pay cash instead!
  5. No, I'm not the one supporting people you say stuff like you should never let a good crisis go to waste.
Nor do I support government take over of the private sector in either camp meaning Bush or Obama.

Yes and all of a sudden public policy is changing as they try and implement a government run health care system which will turn into socialized medicine at some point.
Rationing health care is already starting!
  6. You lost your argument when you said what if.
It should be up to the individual to decide not government anyway.
I am for the individual and their freedoms not a group of people who are only amount to a number.
I've NEVER said anyone had to have these procedures.
  7. So, you don't believe in medical guidelines. I guess that's one way to dodge the hard questions, though it does place you on the extreme fringe of medical thought. No, scratch that. You are utterly disjoint WRT medical thinking.
  8. I never said that but now that you mention it I don't believe in medical guidelines provided or pressured by the government.
The timing of this stuff is just amazing.
I guess using what ifs are one way to make up questions to scenarios that don't exist.
Name calling does nothing to help your cause.
    Have a great day!:insane:
  9. You don't believe in epidemiological guidelines, but you do believe the 10-month old Obama administration is behind these nefarious new ones, which are wrong, because the old government guidelines were good and right, carved in stone and carried down from the mountain as they were. Gotcha.

The funny thing about reality is that its existence doesn't depend on you acknowledging it.

I didn't call you any names, and I don't care to continue this with you.

What I was commenting on originally was that a lot of people are up in arms over new epidemiological guidelines without understanding the thinking and trade-offs that go into ALL such guidelines. You've demonstrated you don't want to discuss that, so OK, whatever. Have a great day yourself.
  10. it wasnt "government" or the "exact opposite"
