Canada didn't do too well last night

I say this because there were a number of times the Bama safety committed to the jet sweep, leaving large tracts of territory unguarded in the secondary. An appropriate response would have been to fake the sweep and send a receiver into the area... I didn't see that happen.

This was a very frustrating game, because I thought we actually out-physicalled mighty Alabama. The offense failed, mostly because Etling made some poor decisions, bad throws, and took sacks he didn't have to take... but Canada didn't do too well, either. And screw you, TigerTap... that doesn't mean he should be replaced.

He did alright considering our offense hasn’t done squat in years vs Bama. Had some drives and first downs, limited offensively by the talent. Looking forward to how we finish.

I disagree. I think Canada had an effective game plan but execution just wasnt there consistently. We probably did run the jet sweep too often (we lead the nation in jet sweeps) but we outgained Bama. Outperformed against Bama D's season average in almost every category. I have no problem with Canada.

I disagree. We moved the chains. Kept possession of the ball which kept Bama's O on the sidelines.

We made them defend the entire field.

We didn't get enough 25 yard plays.

We couldn't flip the field position.

We're still maybe mediocre at QB.

Yeah, overall Canada’s gameplan was good. Rex makes some good points about a few more adjustments that could have been made, but if DE is more accurate with the longer passes, that game has a different ending.

He is but chark helped him out last night... He fields punts he should let go and let's go punts he should catch... I remember 2, 1 he fair caught on the 8yd line that he probably should have let go and one that he should've caught that bounced on the 31yd line and ended up on the 18...

Etling missed a WIDE OPEN Guice in the weak flat that Danielson pointed out. I believe it was more a failure of execution by Etling last night. Plays were there to be made. He didn't make them.
