My National Anthem Guidelines- 1.) Know the words- Ex. "...and the home of the Tigers." Is correct. None of this Atlanta Braves bull. 2.) Do not attempt to re-write the music- Ex. You do not have to make each word 20 syllables long. Webster's dictionary says so. 3.) It should not take 5 minutes to complete (See. #2) 4.) Poppers are to be used for "..bombs bursting in air..." (Not "...rockets red glare..." 5.) If all else fails watch the person next to you. If they are covering their ears you are singing it wrong.
Someone really needs to inform Tiger Stadium crowds about this one. I'll never understand why people don't get this.
lsugrad00- That's actually a pet peeve of mine. It's worse at the baseball games!! But for some reason the students keep doing it!
its like someone who has to have the last word yet in this case the first sound. the rest are just anxious and/or stupid.
