First of all, I believe this team has the big play makers, on BOTH sides of the ball, to overcome a deficit. I think we will find LSU in this situation at some point. Like you said, Penn, it is the SEC and SEC level talent we compete against so a deficit at some point is almost inevitable. I think Lee's sound decision making plays a big part in our ability to come from behind. I also think our playbook has not been fully opened yet, and the plays we have not seen could be the up tempo style of offense that would be necessary to get points on the board quickly.
Lee may not be Joe, but Joe was on the side line for a few years learning to be the QB he was. Lee has learned a lot the last couple of years and now has a good OC and QB coach. I think Lee will be great. I see a lot of Joe in Lee.
I like Lee at QB. LSU nation seems to be on the Lee bandwagon. Question: Why wasn't he going to be the starting QB at the beginning of the season?
We have big play threats and an opportunistic defense that creates turnovers and can score themselves. So yes.
Yep. Lee's decisiveness has been such a welcome change from JJ's constant confusion. Hell, he was even doing it last year when called upon, so I don't know that we have Krags to thank for that. To answer the original quesion, hell yes, we can. That's been Jarret Lee's style from day one. You all remember day one, right? That glorious comeback in Jordan Hare in 2008? How about Tenn and Fla in 2010? There ain't no doubt in my mind.
I think we certainly can. We've got an accurate QB and WR's with enough speed to stretch the field as well as an athletic TE that causes significant mis-matches vs LB's and DB's alike. I think we're more than capable of coming from behind when needed. We've also worked on the no-huddle during each of our first 3 games.
The 2 minute offense is actually where Jarrett Lee excels. Fully confident. More so with Lee than with Mettenberger.
