If you are going to judge the SECCG based on the Arkansas game, then you should look at how UGA played against Arkansas. That would be the fair thing to do. But something tells me you have no clue that Georgia only beat Arkansas by 3 at home...
This talented team loses focus quite easily, so playing before a hostile crowd in Atlanta may be a good thing, oddly enough. It'll keep them sharp, and I'm sure certain guys would like to close out the pre-bowl season on a high note.
Thank You! If LSU's defense had played all year like the ASU game, LSU would have 3 wins right now. That team yesterday was not focused or well prepared for that game. They thought they would just show up and kill Arkansas. The way they played, Ark. deserved to win that game. They wanted it more than us. Our talent was just too much for them to handle. I don't know why our offense is so inconsistent, but they better get it fixed by Saturday and especially by the bowl game or else yesterday will be our last win if the season. And for all you "Miles is a great coach" guys out there, (SabanFan) remember that the UF, UT, and AU games are all on the road next year. You think with the way LSU plays will get them to 10-1 again next year? Not a chance in HELL!
You may be right! This team performs better when their backs are against the wall. They do well on the road. ________ My Pussy
After watching the the GA/GT game tonight I'm pretty comfortable with a win. The LSU D is going to kill Shockley.
And for all you 'Saban is god, everybody else sucks' guys out there,(cedricq, TF) remember Saban only had ONE,(that's right 1) 10-1 season, and you are STILL kissing his ass.:dis:
So, with another coach those games would be at home? I never said (and I haven't read where anyone else said) that Miles is a great coach. What I and many others have said is that a 10-1 record with a berth in the SECCG, chance to win the SEC outright, a BCS post New Years Day Bowl and a realistic shot at finishing #2 in the country is, by all standards, an extremely successful season. Certainly, there are areas of concern from week to week which I trust will be addressed by coaches and players in preparation for the next game. What causes all of the friction, here, is people who are unable to derive any satisfaction from the accomplishments of this team. They always want more. It's the National Championship syndrome. The same thing happened after the 1958 NC when suddenly, nothing but #1 will do. It eventually led to the firing of one of the all time great LSU coaches and led to a series of hiring blunders which culminated in the disaster that was the 1990s. Finally, Nick Saban was able to resurrect this monster to the zenith and the syndrome has started anew. The annual SEC football schedule is littered with landmines that have to be carefully negotiated. LSU only stepped on one which was not fatal. They nearly stepped on a couple, but they didn't detonate. Someone is guiding the team though this minefield. (enough of this analogy). We are 10-1. Not 7-1 and 2 "nearly losts". We are #3 in the polls and #4 in the BCS. I am happy with that. If you aren't, I can't help you.
