You really think Colorado should be invited (all those years) to decide who is best in the b12? They were the least pathetic out of a horrendous division. The UGA-Tenn thing is debatable at best (adv y'all). That's was more of a sidebar... so let's toss that aside for the sake of the CCG discussion. How many b12 & acc CCGs have involved at least one ugly party? 1/4? 1/3? 1/5? Whatever it is, it's way too many.
That's the way the SEC works. You do realize that you played the second best SEC team in the BCSNC game last year right. Many would argue that  was the best team in the SEC last year and we didn't even get to play in our own championship game. And LSU can't blame anyone but themselves for that. I could care less about the Big 12 and ACC. You said it yourself that the Big 12 North are a bunch of doormats. Ask the Big 12 why the hell their only two real teams are in the same division.
Tenn won the games they needed to win to get to the SECCG, including against UGA. Can't fault them for that. "2nd best" is an opinion, they won the east, and beat UGA so they have an argument there. However, all of that is insignificant because we objectively know the best team. It's not our fault the Big 12 is so uneven, The big 12 north wasn't exactly a doormat this year. It's cyclical...remember when Nebraska and Colorado were the talk of the town couple years back? Again, if a 5 loss FSU team is capable of winning the conference championship, that says more about the conference than it does about the championship game. FSU won their conference games, and won the CG when it mattered, and VT didn't deserve to win it if they couldn't beat a 5 loss FSU team. If that's the instance you're referring to.
Nobody is allowed to dis Colorado this year! Without that beautiful come from behind win vs OK we are playing Hawaii!
For my first post I guess I should state the obvious. Last yr. the defensive end for Florida said after the game that there were at least 4 or 5 SEC teams that could have beat that OSU team. From what I see (and from comments about OSU expectations) last years team was better than this one. If that is the case it may be a long night for OSU. I hate to be too confident, as we as LSU fans have been let down before, but the more I read and look at this OSU team I have no doubt that a healthy LSU team on thier game should slaughter this team. :crystal: :crystal: :crystal:
A player for a team states how many teams in his conference could beat another team and you believe him? C'mon, it was a ridiculous statement to make that can't be backed with facts. You're not stating the obvious, you're stating the imaginary. Games are settled on the field, not by speculation. So, we'll see if this "slaughter" occurs or not. I don't see it happening. IMO, either team can win.
I totally agree. But who better to make that statement than the DE from Florida who actually, on the field, played those 4 or 5 SEC offenses. I surely take his evaluation of your buckeyes offense than some analyst on tv. He saw first hand what your team was made of, and all indications are that team was better than this one. Maybe if I re-phrase my comment. He in essence said that Florida's Defense had an easier time with your team than 4 or 5 of his conference brothers that he played this year. I am not taking your buckeyes for granted b/c we won some pretty close games this year. We were beat up but that's not an excuse we still found a way to win, but if healthy and sharp I don't see OSU playing with us. I could be wrong but since I have an LSU education I doubt it.
