actually after that auburn game a couple of years ago I started taking note. i wish someone would go and check it out. usually the next 2 games are lost it seemed but that was just a mental note. I wouldnt notice if someone had won. carried over to this year. good stat once isl looks it up for verification. hint hint.
Ok, I see the gloves are off. I was wondering how long it would take before we saw everyone's true colors...Let's take a look into some of the bs statements y'all are making: 1. 2002 NC game--review the film, prior pics and you will see that a call needed to be made there...You can't let players "decide it on the field" when an infraction is committed--otherwise, why have officials? And yes, the refs get paid to make tough calls, like those (PI and holding on the same play--also facemask at the line of scrimmage). If you want to devalue our NC, then let's look at the the illegal formation flag that was picked up by the booth officials on Hester's TD vs. Auburn--you may be in the Peach Bowl this year. 2. Cooper's teams were 0-6 in SEC bowl games. By the way, y'all can call Cooper out of retirement once CLM leaves for Michigan if you think he is/was a great coach. 3. I would like to see your list of NFL players... 4. Why do you want to bash OSU's football history? You had a 45 yr. drought between your most recent NCs (compared to OSU's 34 yr.--also 6 NCs to go along in total--how many does LSU have total?). Yeah, yeah, the SEC was too tough during those years--was it the butt whoopin that Bear constantly dealt out??? or was it the embarassing 21-12 loss to Miami (Ohio) in 1986 at TS? Robidaux87 thanks for your posts, it's nice to see some objectivity from your side...
After LSU beats the living crap out of OSU on January 7th, I need Southalbuck to come back on here and state what a fraud that both aOSU and the Big 10 really are. TIA.
unfortunately for us the sec has more than two teams, can you really, truly say that with a straight face?
you play in the big 1.5. we actually play in the big 10. you can have vandi and ole myth and still be the big 1.5. get in a real conference and play a conference championship instead of playing a div 2 schedule if you want respect. what % of times has OSU and UM won or shared a part of the big 1.5? 70%? is that really something to be proud of? thats like being the 2nd smartest person in alabama. obviously what I was thinking as well.
Since you believe it to be so, why do you need my affirmation, regardless of the outcome? What will you say if OSU wins, is the question, since neither of us, or anyone on the repsective boards plays the game? By the way, if any of y'all remember any of my 20 some posts, they've been pretty gracious to your program and history, but since you opened your "keyboard," I felt inclined to defend my program. Keep dishing it out and you'll get it right back--
Refresh my memory..Did LSU play a conference championship in 1958? Didn't think so--not until 1992 did the SEC have one...get over the extra game crap....YOUR conference decided to have a CG to fleece YOUR fanbase=YOUR Problem And by the way, the SECCG only benefits your conference situation. You complain about it, yet it has mostly helped an SEC team get into the NC game in the BCS era (ref 2006 UF and LSU 2007--with 2001 UT team not benefitting)--no extra game, no chance at the NC.
I was going to type out a fairly long post about the conduct of people in this thread but in retrospect I think their own words speak more about how they're choosing to treat their guests than anything I could write. Or have the "rantards" from Tigerdroppings.com taken over this thread? It seemed that this might be a place for opposing fans to have some genuine, good discussion. Apparently it is not.
